2020-10-14 KYZYLORDA REGION, KAZAKHSTAN - OCTOBER 14, 2020: The Soyuz-2.1a rocket booster with the Soyuz MS-17 spacecraft blasts off to the International Space Station (ISS) from Baikonur Cosmodrome. The Soyuz MS-17 mission is the first to use the ultra-fast two-orbit flight plan; the crew is scheduled to arrive at the ISS in about 3 hours and dock to the Rassvet docking port at 11:52 Moscow Time. The Soyuz MS-17 spacecraft is carrying Expedition 64 crew members, NASA astronaut Kate Rubins, Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Ryzhikov; they are to be welcomed by Roscosmos cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin, Ivan Vagner, and NASA astronaut Christopher Cassidy of the ISS Expedition 63.
