The space shuttle Endeavour lifts off in the early morning hours (0228 local = 0628 GMT) on March 11, 2008 from Pad 39-A at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Endeavour carries a crew of seven and will install the first section of Kibo, a Japanese-built laboratory and the Canadian-made robotics system known as Dextre to the International Space Station (ISS).
