Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Maury Wills was elated, Jan. 29, 1963 in St. Louis after being presented with J. Roy Stockton Award at the St. Louis Baseball Writers dinner. Wills shared the award with New York Yankee pitcher Ralph Terry. The award is named in honor of J. Roy Stockton, former sports editor of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The award was given Wills for his outstanding base running last season. He stole 104 bases. His record stolen base was made in St. Louis. (AP Photo)
