Teenage girl catches serial killer after he attacks her

He was going from state to state in his truck, picking out female victims and then stabbing them to death. He was finally stopped in his tracks by a 16 year-old girl and her family after he tried attacking her in her own bedroom. Shea McDonough and her brave parents tackled the murderer and held Adam Leroy Lane until police arrived. It was only when he was being interrogated in police custody that they realised he had murdered two other women - Darlene Ewalt and Monica Massaro and attacked several other. Lane pled guilty to all the murders and attacks and is now serving several life sentences.
