FAMILY KILLED

Federal officials charged Darrell Brooks, in this undated police photo, Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, with the arson murders of a family of seven who tried to stand up to street-corner drug dealers in their East Baltimore neighborhood. Angela Dawson and her five children died when the fire tore through their three-story rowhouse on Oct. 16. The arson resulting in death charges carry a maximum penalty of death, but DiBiagio said prosecutors have yet to determine whether to pursue the death penalty.
