Orig. bildtext... SIXTY THOUSANDS KLANSMEN PARADE IN NATION'S CAPITAL. Gathering from all parts of the country east of the Mississippi River, thousands upon thousands of members of the Ku Klux Klan convened in Washington, D.C. on Saturday for the biggest demonstration and parade in the histpry of the hooded order. Sixty thousands of the robes but unhooded klansmen, marched along Pennsylvania Avenue, from the Capital to the plaza in front of the Washington Monument. The photo shows the parade passing Treasury Square. A for the most part, silent crowd watch the marching men, with a few cheers one and then to break the quiet.
