Woman murdered by her father-in-law

Pictured here is: Chiman Rai in court during his trial Sparkle Rai was just like her name Ð vivacious with a love for life. In high school she was a cheerleader before she went on to college with the same enthusiastic attitude. She quit college in the summer of 1998 and at the age of 20 she moved 400 miles away to take a job at a hotel Ð it was a move that would lead her to finding love Ð and death. She met and fell in love wiht Ricky Rai, whose father Chiman Rai owned the hotel. The pair got married and had a daughter Analla together - but just months later Sparkle was murdered in their apartment - strangled and stabbed to death. Ricky had an alibi and the trail went cold - until two years later when police found a witness to the murder. They tracked down the killer - and found he had been hired by Sparkle's father-in-law Chiman to kill her. Chiman was charged with murder - and found guilty by a jury.
